I listened to an awesome video tutorial last night from Renegade Professional.  It is called “The Consultative Approach” by Alicia Bausley.

This tutorial will be very beneficial to people new to online marketing, but also a very good philosophy for anyone involved in MLM and interested in using Attraction Marketing principles for sponsoring, instead of hard-selling tactics.

Alicia talks about her extreme fear of the phone and fear of calling people about her business opportunity.  She knew if she wanted to succeed in network marketing she had to overcome this.  “The Consultative Approach” is an excellent answer to anyone who can relate to this.  I know I can!

I used to be petrified of calling prospects when I was using “old” MLM selling-from-a-script tactics.  I think Alicia was in the room with me because she describes it perfectly–I would do most of the talking (reading from a script), a little listening, and I’d get to the end of the script and ask them to buy, sign up, and get started!  No wonder people were turned off and I never heard from them again.

If you can relate to this or if you’ve ever tried this, you need to check out this video.  Alicia does a role play of how she works with people on the phone now.  This format could be used for recruiting/sponsoring or selling products.  This is a very powerful way to communicate with people.  It goes hand in hand with attraction marketing and all the things we love about it–attracting people to us rather than chasing them down.

    I’ve been in this online marketing journey for a couple of years (thanks to my friend, Ann Sieg). I’ve discovered the number one best way to build a relationship with a prospect is in person. The number two best way? Use the phone!

    It’s SO powerful. You get to connect personally with someone else on the phone and address their very specific needs. And you get to be ‘human’ instead of using just email, or our website.
