I recorded this video for a class I’m taking, but it’s relevant on so many levels.

I’ve struggled with perfectionism my whole life–putting things off until the last minute because I was so afraid they wouldn’t be PERFECT. Is anything ever perfect anyway?

But in business, perfectionism will kill you. Perfectionism is the opposite of action.  You must take action, you must get going. You cannot wait until everything is ready, perfect, done, or even close!

Trying to be perfect is often a masked excuse for laziness or fear. (I’m not accusing you of being lazy, but I know! I was there!) It doesn’t really matter what your reason is–you have to get over it.

The only way to move past perfectionism is to start DOING things. You have to put stuff out there. Like this video. It’s about as far from perfect as I can imagine. I could give you a laundry list of things I would change.

But…. it’s out here! It’s delivering my message and helping other people. And isn’t that the goal? To help other people improve themselves and move forward with their businesses?

Bingo.

So, pick 1 thing that’s you’ve been putting off because you were waiting for it to be perfect–until you had more time, more money, more help, lose weight, gained weight, pigs to fly–and do it now. If it will move your life or business forward, don’t wait. Do it now.  Today!

Share below what your 1 action item is. We’ll hold you accountable. Put it out there! Tell us your unperfect, goofy, crazy, stupid plans. Then do them.

I agree. Its hard to start, but once you do, your own internal fortitude seems to keep you moving forwards to get your task done. We all have goals, some are unattainable, but you have to have your goals and setting them is important. I Liked your video. Hopefully you will have more? THMS.
