I forgot to mention the most important tip in my video, so I created this free Facebook Group Strategies guide and added it here, so I could give you all the best tips for building your Facebook group and your business.

Are you using Facebook groups to build your business? Do you have one that brings in new customers and clients every week? I’m not talking about one for your team or one for your customers. I mean one that’s for PROSPECTS – a facebook group that builds rapport with your prospects and leads to more sales.

My Tips to Get More Clients From Facebook Groups

Here are 8 tips to create a highly engaged group in your niche that people love being a part of and invite their friends to join.

1. Welcome new members as soon as they’re approved and tag them in a “welcome” post. The sooner you welcome your new members the better because sometimes people forget they asked to join. Engage them as soon as possible. As your group grows, you may do it less often, but in the beginning, do it right away. I like to include my free giveaway in this post, so new members receive value from me and join my email list.

2. Do a weekly live video to give value to the group. Do it at the same day and time every week. You could create a theme, like “Free Coaching Friday” or “Q&A Tuesday”. Create it around a topic in your niche.

3. Use the Facebook group questions when people come into the group. Make it clear who the group is for, why they’re joining, and lay the ground rules for the group (no posting links, no pitching, etc).

4. In the questions, ask what they want to get out of the group. This makes them feel heard and it gives you ideas for new content and ways to give value to the group members.

5. Collect email addresses as new members join. In the questions, you can ask if they want to join your email list. This helps to build your list as you build the group.

6. Do at least one post every day – add value, give tips, inspiration, encouragement, ask a question, and sell. Don’t make every post about your products or joining your business! People don’t want to be in a group that’s just one big commercial.

When you do make sales posts, still offer value. Even if they don’t buy from you, they still walk away with new inspiration, encouragement, or new knowledge.

7. Respond to posts and comments. The members in your group want to be seen and heard. Show them that you see them. You don’t have to make a long reply on every one, but at least like it, or drop a GIF or a sticker.

8. Shout out your top contributors. Reward people for doing the behavior you want to see more of. You can do a weekly post to recognize your top contributors — shout them out & recognize them. As your group grows, doing a giveaway will get even more engagement. The giveaway could be something as simple as a $5 Starbucks or Amazon gift card.
